Festival Bursary Rules
Festival Junior Bursaries 7 - 9 years
​Two Bursaries of £100 each.

Festival Intermediate Bursary 10 - 13 years
A Bursary of £200
​
Festival Senior Bursary 14 years +
A Bursary of £300
​
Jayne Beezer Bursary
A Bursary of £500
​
Other Potential Bursaries - Vocational Summer/Easter Course Scholarships from various vocational training schools such as Tring and Elmhurst Ballet School. These will vary year to year.

Rules
1) Age to be taken as 1st September
​
2) In order to be choosen for a Festival Bursary dancers must have entered at least 2 separate solo classes in the festival.

3) The Junior/Inter/Senior bursaries will be awarded via a Bursary Section which will be held on the last day of the Festival week. Six dancers from each age catagory (Junior/Inter/Senior) will be chosen by the adjudicator to dance again in the Bursary section.​ Dancers will perform the solo chosen by the adjudicator. The winners of each Bursary Section will also receive a certificate and a trophy to be held for one year.

4) The Jayne Beezer and other potential bursaries will be awarded during the award ceremony at the end of the festival. They will be awarded by the adjudicator to dancers of any age, who in their opinion shows the most promise throughout the festival. The winner will also receive a certificate and a trophy to be held for one year.
5) Reports will not be given for Festival Bursary Classes.

6) The Bursary must be used to further dance education. It may be used to pay for attendance at an out of town Easter or Summer School, private tuition or for classes with York Dance Scholars, Northern Ballet Associates or Royal Ballet Junior/Senior Associates or similar. It cannot be used for exam fees, Festival entries or for classes at your regular dance school. The Bursary could be used to help with audition fees for full time professional school/college. (in all cases a maximum or 25% only may be used for travel expenses)

7) The Parent/Guardian (if under 18 years of age) must apply for the awarded bursary through a email to the Trustees of the Paul Watson Memorial Festival c/o the secretary; pwmffordance@gmail.com
​
8) Bursary money will be paid directly to the organisation or teacher providing the tuition or to the school or college where the audition is taking place.
​
9) The bursary is to be used within one year from receiveing the award.​​
